Introduction
Li Xu was tightly connected with Delamu, for being one of six original names of this road. After the naming of Delamu, in 15 years, he continued to travel from those producing areas of tea, including Xishuangbanna, Pu'er, Ya'an, etc., to the borders of the countries of Yadong and Pulan. He travelled along Delamu and his footmarks covered every single road cutting through the Altiplano. In his plan, his journey covered India, Nepal, and Kashimir, and so on. From tropic rain forests to peaks and mountains covered by ice and snow, he witnessed the extremely magnificent seneries on the road, whose magnificence was mostly derived from the extreme difference. Minority groups living there coloured their different living-styles with different religious believes and various cultural traditions.
